Taking time to enjoy my little wonders...

I'm having a conversation with my friend about the importance of savoring the time I have with my loved ones and taking time to enjoy my life now since it will soon all change. And I can't help but think that although right now my priorities are on school and work- I have let other things slide away to the non-priority list. But I wish I hadn't. I'm not even far away from home yet and I'm already feeling like this and I wonder how much will change or stay the same once I'm done with school and on my own. Inshallah this coming school year I'll work less and make more time for the things and the people that are important to my life.

And as I'm having all these thoughts-the perfect song comes on my pandora to sum it all up; as if my playlist is in tune with my thoughts and feelings. O' how I love my pandora.

Little Wonders by Rob Thomas

Let it go, Let it roll right off your shoulder
Don't You know, the hardest part is over?
Let it in, let your clarity define you
In the end, we will only just remember how it feels

Our lives are made in these small hours
These little wonders, these twists and turns of fate
Time falls away but these small hours
These small hours still remain

Let it slide, let your troubles fall behind you
Let it shine, until you feel it all around you
And I don't mind, if it's me you need to turn to
We'll get by, it's the heart that really matters in the end

Our lives are made in these small hours
These little wonders, these twists and turns of fate
Time falls away but these small hours
These small hours still remain

All of my regret, will wash away somehow
But I cannot forget, the way I feel right now
In these small hours
These little wonders, these twists and turns of fate
Yeah, these twists and turns of fate!

Time falls away, yeah but these small hours
And these small hours still remain, yeah
Ooh they still remain
These little wonders, oh these twists and turns of fate

Time falls away but these small hours
These little wonders still remain
